Nathaniel Beamer has a passion for education. As a former teacher and an technical trainer for clinicians, he taught everyone from special-needs students to doctors and nurses the skills and knowledge they needed to grow and thrive.

Now, he is teaching his clients how to buy a home or own an investment.

“It’s about finding a way to help people easily understand the process -- understanding their questions, concerns, and worries, and trying to mediate that in the best way possible,” he says.

Nathaniel is a native of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, with deep roots in real estate. He grew up around the development business of his grandfather, George Adams, absorbing the ins and outs of construction and investing.

Two incidents convinced him to pursue a career in real estate. First, he enjoyed his experience as a first-time homebuyer. Then, mortgage lenders rejected an entrepreneurial friend’s application because the friend’s highly profitable side hustle didn’t produce “official income.” Nathaniel stepped in to reword his application, but as he researched the issue, he realized he could have made the sale and been a bigger help “instead of forwarding him on to someone else.”

Nathaniel channeled his empathy for today’s property buyer into earning his real estate license in early November 2023. In fact, he understands side hustles because he has his own. His business, Beamer’s Gourds, grows and transforms gourds into whimsical décor, lamps, and “gourdaments.” His mini gourds become necklaces, essential oil diffusers, and historic drinking canteens.

He and his wife, Morgan, live in Carlisle, close enough to the Army War College that they can hear Taps played nightly. He devotes his spare time to his passion for history, volunteering at the Pennsylvania State Museum and at Dill’s Tavern, the living history destination in his hometown of Dillsburg.

As his real estate career took shape, Nathaniel joined RSR for the chance to “learn from the experience of people in a homegrown organization.”

“They have survived through multiple iterations of the real estate business for decades,” he says. “The business is totally different every five years, and RSR has always thrived and been flexible.”

Nathaniel is happy to guide first-time homebuyers and investors along their pathways. “Commercial real estate is a blossoming industry,” he says. “We are out of the pandemic. We’re returning to some of the old ways and discovering new ways in eCommerce, networking hubs, and server centers. A lot of these old forgotten industries, such as shopping malls, can be repurposed into a many different avenues. We’re being flexible and adapting, because no matter what, we’re all going to need real estate at the end of the day.”
